Crash Test Catalog For Mobile Computing

Now available in Windows Phone and Smartphone Editions

View Screen Shots Crash Test Catalog (CTC) is a pocket cross-reference for the National Highway and Safety Administration's (NHTSA) crash test results. CTC contains the data needed to find the crash results conducted by NHTSA and/or their independent testing agencies. CTC For Mobile Computing is available as FREEWARE for Windows Mobile/Pocket PC (CTCWm) and the Palm (CTCPalm) Operating Systems and cover all test conducted by NHTSA from 1971 to .

View Screen Shots As with our CVS Mobile, CTCWm and CTCPalm allow the installation of databases for only the year(s) that you want to use. Each database contains one year of NHTSA's Crash Test results that include:

  • Model
  • Test Number
  • Tester
  • Test Reference Number
  • Test Configuration
  • Test Type
  • Damage Index
  • Closing Speed *
  • Impact Angle
CTCPalm requires PalmPrinttm for serial or IrDA printing. Printing with CTCWm requires that PrintBoytm or PrintPocketPCtm is installed. CTCWm and CTCPalm use the devices clipboard for fully functioning Cut/Copy/Paste features.

* Closing Speeds can be viewed in Metric or Imperial Units.

Compatibility Issues

Windows Mobile Users
The download for CTCWm will only install on Pocket PC's running an ARM processor. If you have the need to use this software on a MIPS or SH3 processor (older Pocket PC's), please contact for a link to these downloads. The current version of CTCWm is not compatible with Windows Mobile SmartPhone Edition (v5.0 and 6.0).

Windows Vista Users
Microsoft has discontinued support for ActiveSync and has replaced it with an updated, built-in version that installs as part of the operating system. The Vista version of ActiveSync may or may not allow applications built with CASL to install on the PDA. This is a known issue at CASLSoft and they are working on the problem and will notify their development community when the issue is resolved. Please check back with us for further updates on CVSWm and compatibility with Windows Vista.

Palm OS Users
CTCPalm does not support monochrome displays. You must have a Palm Powered PDA that supports at least 16 colors in order to run CTCPalm. Palm OS versions 3.x to 5.x are supported.

If you are upgrading your PC or laptop's operating system to Windows Vista and have not yet installed the Palm Desktop software, please click here for important information regarding the installation process.

StyleTap
StyleTap® is a Windows Mobile application that emulates the Palm operating system and can run over 22,000 Palm software titles. To learn more about StyleTap, click the "Runs on StyleTap" image on the right or visit our StyleTap page for test results.
